Using ProTEXT with StenoCAT 3.1 Software ProTEXT works very well with all versions of StenoCAT !

Problem: My ASCII text file does not contain page breaks.
Solution: Turn on page breaks inside StenoCat, then remake your ASCII file.

From the StenoCat Main Menu:
Select PROFESSIONAL PRINT

1. - Choose OPTIONS
2. - Choose SETUP
3. - Put an X in front of SUPPRESS LAST FF
4. - Under the word DEVICE, put a period in front of QUEUE
5. - Press Enter or ESC to return to the main menu.

Select PRINT

1. - Go to the LITIGATION SUPPORT screen.
2. - Inside the Formatting Options screen, select Page Image.

Problem: I can't find my ASCII text file on my Hard Drive.
Solution: Normally, StenoCat will save your ascii text file in your C: drive under the following path name:
c:\stduser\usr\{your name goes here}\*.txt
Your ASCII file will normally end with the letters .txt
For Beginners: If you want to always find your ASCII easily, simply save it to your A: drive.
(This is your Floppy disk drive)

Note: This rule is not written in stone. Your system may vary, since a user can create disk directories with any name under the sun. The default StenoCat ascii text file directory, however, is as shown above.
